Has anyone observed a marked increase in the drops ? I've dropped Urogoz twice since the alleged "elite weekend" began, and if anything the drops are worse and the chests are fewer. Still losing a party member to an 007, and still having a party member have to kill himself with a vamp weapon because they are stuck though.

I can tell you Urgoz isn't gonna give up 6 bows. I can tell you that the chests I saw were close to 50% plum. I can tell you that I saw no appreciable increase in gold drops from monsters.

I'm a little disgusted by the whole thing.

I beat him once before this and once after this. The crappy drops were better the first time.

Keep up the good work Anet ! See if you can't do something to address the system wide issues with sound, lag, 007s, 058s and skill bars that can't be selected during battle too.

Better yet, after the elite weekend put an NPC in Kaineng Center named "Crudder the Apologist" who will give everyone back the time they wasted playing during the elite mission weekend. Or just drop a drop one of Kanaxis or Urgoz goodies in their inventory. LOL

And yes I openly acknowledge that I am whining but that doesn't mean that my points aren't valid. I'm certain that what I am experiencing and feeling is not unique.

well just did it, saw not a single gold drop, and 3 of the 4 chests were grape, GG anet GG

yeah, tons of people that i know doing the elite missions this weekend have already complained about the drops being worse then before they "increased" drops. so i decided to get my glad title while everyone else went for elite missions, seemed like a fare trade off since i did the elite missions when the pvp event was going on.

how about instead of complaining about gw, if you hate it so much stop playing it. we could use one less person whining about how crappy the game is.

there will always will be complaints in the game so less ppl playing won't solve the the matter.
I do wonder why only a few post about how these drops are bad while many are in the elite missions being happy

Not sure what in my OP lead you to down the path of hate, but we could use less haters in the game.

I stated what I had experienced and how I felt about it. Hell I even acknowledged that I was whining about it. I wanted to see if others were having the same experiece as well. Based on the few replies so far, the answer is yes. This is a forum is it not ?

I can't help if you have never beaten one of the elite missions and can't grasp some of what I'm talking about.

Ever since the update yesterday that stated that above ^^^^
I've experienced a huge drop increase. When the elite weekend first started we had (Urgoz's Warren) 1 gold drop from a monster and one chest by the time we got to the area with exhaustion and weakness.

Now after yesterday's update the first attempt at Urgoz's Warren netted us 10 gold drops and two gold chests by the time we got to the energy degen area. Too bad four of the gold drops were for one person

, but I got a +5 energy gold max Vertebreaker so I was happy

(Among other drops)

Remember, monster drops in Urgoz have never been that hot, and the number of people in an area decreases the drop rate.

2nd time in the warren, got to room 8 and got killed thanks to a few which seemed to have 007

Not sure what the drop rates are normally like but i must of seen atleast 10+ golds drop along with atleast 6 purples.

Would love to maybe complete the mission some time it just seems that because it takes so long people lose intrest and stop playing as a team.

Most Pug's tend to fall apart in the warden room(second last before Urgoz's)
it takes close to 2 hours to get there so ppl get a bit sloppy just as you hit the tuffest part of the mission. A good strategy is to take a short pause before going in to that room(get a drink, bathroom, smoke, and what ever tickles your fancy).

back to topic: drop rates are way better today after yesterdays update.

And drop rates seams better if I don't have any rares in the inventory when entering the mission exept the weaps assigned to weapons slots

That's what I experienced :
Urgoz "bugged" = 4 chests ( one purple and the res gold ) and only 1 gold drop vs 12 players

Urgoz after the fix = 5 chest ( all gold ) and 15 gold drop vs 12 players

That statement is relevant how?

They were discussing how/if the number of people in the party decreases the drop rate...

Anyway, I don't think it seems very "professional" to add the double rare drops one day after the event started..

Beat Urgoz with a group last night and we had 10+ gold drops of monsters and all the chests were gold.

An example that most people would be able to see for themselves would be doing chest runs where the the Kurzick Faction Farming is done. During peak American times you will average a 1 Gold chest out of 5, during off peak periods eg 12:00hrs GMT you will get 3/5.

During Festivals (eg Halloween, Wintersday, Tengu and Dragon) all the farming spots yeilded much much more than normal.

Before 55ing the Griffons was popular the average was 2.7k gold, 3 gold items per 5:50 second run.

During ProtBond 55ing in UW the average was 7 ectos per 35 min run, ProtSpirit/SoJ tappered down to 3 per run and now with 55 + SS/SV its 2 unless you go in the off peak times.

I made 5 runs through the Deep yesterday and the drop rate of gold items was significantly increased. We were averaging approximately 10 gold drops per run, up from about 3-4 prior to this weekend. Heck, even Kanaxai once dropped a gold Ironwing Flatbow along with his 3 Green. I've seen absolutely no change in the quantity or quality of chests. Always 5, averaging 70% gold (1-2 purple per run).

Now, quality of golds hasn't been touched. Still seeing plenty of gold straw effiges with, say, req 13 Soul Reaping and AL +5 while hexed. Got one Zodiac Staff req 10 earth magic, HSR domination 20%, HCT Divine Favor 19%. Whoever made that staff was on crack.
